佛國寺 와 石窟庵

慶州 佛國寺
토함산(745m)의 중턱에 자리하고 있는 불국사는 1,440년전
신라 법흥왕 22년에 그 어머니 뜻에 따라
나라의 안정과 백성의 평안을 위하여 세워졌으며,
그후 신라 경덕왕 (742-764)때 재상 김대성이
color=#000066>다시 지어 절의 면모을 새롭게 하였다.
1920년 이전에는 일부 건물과 탑만이 퇴락한 채 남아 있었으나
지속적인 원형복구 및 보수로 대사찰의 면모를 갖추게 되었다.
불국사는 1995년 세계문화유산목록에 등록되었다

石窟庵
경주 토함산 중턱에 위치한 8C경 석굴로 내부 본존불상은
결가부좌한 채 동해바다를 응시하고 있다
석굴 내부 벽면에는 11면 관음보살을 비롯한 보살과
10대 제자들이 매우 사실적이고 섬세하게
조각되어 있는극동 불교 예술의 진수이다
